Kensington offers many community services that are made so by our dedicated team of community service officers.
If you have an event or would like some general information about community services in our district, please contact Sgt. Escobar. You can click on our contact page and select Sgt. Escobar from the list of department members, before sending your message.
Kensington Hilltop Elementary School is highly regarded and enjoys active parent support. There are several pre-schools and child-care facilities in Kensington, as well as churches, a library, and two small but very enjoyable business areas, which include several fine restaurants.
A local newsletter, The Kensington Outlook, keeps us informed on issues and events, and is published by the Kensington Community Council. The Council also manages the after-school and recreation programs. The Municipal Advisory Council provides recommendations on variances and land use matters to the Contra Costa County Planning Commission, while the Property Owners Association and Improvement Club work to maintain the quality of the lifestyle in the community.
