The Kensington Police Protection and Community Services District is governed by five District Directors. Day to day operations are handled by the Chief of Police who is also the General Manager of the District. Three Sergeants with one assigned to Investigations, six Police Officers, two Reserve Police Officers, and the District Secretary staff of the Kensington Police Department. In addition to the District Secretary, there are two other part time civilian positions, the Administrative Aid and the Police Services Aid.
Members of the Department are committed to providing the best service possible to the residents and visitors. Kensington Police Officers perform a variety of services which include; patrol response to crimes in-progress, traffic enforcement, first aid and CPR, investigations, warrant and subpoena service, and many other law enforcement duties.
