Kensington Parks and Recreation
The Kensington Police Protection and Community Services District manages Kensington Park grounds and facilities, as well as booking rentals at the community center (also called the "Youth Hut").
Recreation programs, which include the Kensington After School Enrichment Program, the Kensington Summer Day Camp, and adult recreational programs, are managed by the Kensington Community Council, a private nonprofit first incorporated in 1960. The KCC also organizes the Fall Parade and Picnic in October and the Spring Celebration in March each year and collaborates with other Kensington groups on community projects and events. The KCC was founded as an educational organization to promote the "improvement and development of the capabilities of individuals" in the Kensington area and to promote the "social welfare" of our community.
The KCC manages and maintains the recreation building (also called Building E) in the park.
